It was our first day in America today! Flew into LAX and then went straight down to Venice Beach where we will be staying for the next few days. Our hotel is perfectly placed right on the beach. We have managed to keep jet lag at bay by walking from Venice Beach into Santa Monica. America so far has been fantastic! I love Venice beach with all its chincyness and crazy personalities. Though I have seen more homeless people in one day then I have throughout the rest of my life. There seems to be a very big divide between the rich and poor here but maybe that is just because we are at Venice beach. I will see how the rest of the country stacks up. S
