The night before we were due to cross the Irish Sea to Belfast by ferry there were some storm warnings for most of the UK. We had to batten down the hatches on the van and keep our fingers crossed that the wind wouldn’t be so bad that the ferry would be cancelled.
As it turned out that while it was pretty windy during the night by the time we caught the ferry the seas were calm and we had an easy 2 hr crossing from Stranraer to Belfast. We were staying with one of my good friends who I lived with at University and we had a great time for the 3 days we were there.
We did get to sample the best Guinness in Belfast in a very cool little pub which was recently in the news for kicking someone out for not ordering a Guinness and instead ordering a coke! But it wasn’t all drinking and we also had a great time riding our bikes around the city being shown all the sights. T
