Flamingos

After our epic glacier trip we met up with Saurabh and Arturo who were the couple we met in Buenos Aries and had an awesome time with. We walked out to the lake and managed to do some twitching (according to Tim this is the official name of bird watching. We were all very impressed!). To our amazement the bird we were twitching was the pink flamingo. I have seen these in captivity but to see them in the wild in the setting of reflective lake and mountains in the background was truly amazing. They are such a funny looking bird but so beautiful!
We then went for dinner and had two of the local specialities. Lamb which is cooked over coals on a spit and the other was trout caught in the nearby lake. They were both delicious but our favorite was definitely the trout! It was a great to catch up with Saurabh and Arturo again and share some amazing sites with them. Hopefully we will see them in New York sometime soon! S
