When you think of campsites in Australia Barracrab campsite would be the stereotypical beachside location I think people would imagine. We would have driven passed this place on countless occasions and always been in too much of a rush to stay. The camp hosts were wearing fishing shirts and amazingly hospitable on arrival telling us we could park wherever we wanted and to enjoy ourselves.
Well a few minutes later we were parked up sat in chairs looking out over the sea pinching ourselves that we were in such an amazing spot. We spent the evening watching the huge tide roll out while the sun went down behind us. The winds were light and the cold winters were south of us now so it was all pretty idyllic as we sat in our camp chairs and enjoyed dinner cooked over the coals.
It was going to take a lot to drag us out of this place but unfortunately in the morning we had some battery issues with the camper and needed to up sticks and leave. Certainly not the happiest of pack ups but we assured ourselves that we will be back and obviously better to iron out any problems we have now rather than getting stuck somewhere more remote. So it was a quick call to Sarah’s sister Susan and a couple of hours later we were parked up outside theirs getting some power into our batteries. T
