The weather was going to be glorious the next day so we decided to tick off another of the must do hikes in the area. I was a little tired and sore from the previous two day’s epic hikes but soldiered on and pretty much from the start the views made it all worth it. This hike was a circular route which started at the base of one valley and we hiked our way up one side of a mountain up to a high open plateau surrounded by steep imposing cliffs and crossed over the top of a waterfall and then back down the other side of the valley.
The hike could be accessed via car from the side we were going to be descending which meant once we got to the mountain plateau the number of people increased dramatically. But we knew that prior to starting the hike so didn’t have too much of a problem with it especially considering how wide and open the space was. Due to there being so many paths we actually found ourselves wandering off onto goats tracks and had to keep checking our app that we were going in the right direction.
I keep thinking that we will get to a point where we do a hike and say it was good but very similar to such and such but as yet this has not been the case. Each and every hike we have completed has been so varied in scenery. The Pyrenees has definitely cemented itself as a special place to come visit. S
